A semi-rural garden

A newly-renovated Victorian building in a semi-rural location at the edge of a large village

Budget: £22,000   Design fee: £2,750

In this design the space is delineated by clipped box domes and young silver birch trees arranged on a grid.  Axial views from the house are emphasised by clipped paths through rough grass and glimpses of contemporary sculpture.  New terraces and decking over a circular pond provide recreational space.

This design brings a degree of formality and regularity to maximise interest throughout a garden that could easily become compartmentalised by different uses.
